Noah Kahan Joins Olivia Rodrigo For ‘Stick Season’ Duet At Madison Square Garden

Olivia Rodrigo began a four-night run at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday. The pop star welcomed singer-songwriter Noah Kahan for a performance of his “Stick Season” during night one at MSG.

Rodrigo is in the midst of her GUTS World Tour around her album of the same name. The Madison Square Garden run, which continues tonight and Tuesday, wraps the first North American leg before Olivia heads to Europe. Rodrigo leaned heavily on her 2023 album, GUTS, on Friday at MSG.

The singer-songwriter performed all 12 tracks on the standard edition of GUTS — including standouts like opener “bad idea right?” and “vampire” — as well as “obsessed” from the GUTS (spilled) deluxe edition.

Rodrigo also offered nine of the 11 tracks on her 2021 debut album, SOUR, including favorites “deja vu,” “traitor” and “driver’s license.” Following Rodrigo’s contribution to the Hunger Games franchise, “Can’t Catch Me Now,” Noah Kahan emerged to duet with the pop star on his song “Stick Season,” the title track to his 2022 LP, which Rodrigo previously covered last year during a taping for BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.
