Nolafunk Announces Foundation Of Funk & Anders Osborne Shows

The latest additions to the 7th Annual Nolafunk Series During Jazz Fest series are a pair of concerts featuring New Orleans-based guitarist Anders Osborne. Anders will perform with two different lineups at Howlin’ Wolf in the Crescent City during this year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

Up first is a Foundation Of Funk concert on Sunday, April 29. Foundation Of Funk (and The Meters) core members George Porter Jr. and Zigaboo Modeliste will be joined by Anders Osborne and Widespread Panic keyboardist John “Jojo” Hermann on the 29th at Howlin’ Wolf. Then, Howlin’ Wolf will host an Anders Osborne & Friends show on Saturday, May 5. Osborne’s friends include guitarist Eric Krasno and special guest Marc Broussard. Anders will also take part in a Dead Feat tribute to the music of the Grateful Dead and Little Feat at Republic NOLA on May 3 that also features Jackie Greene, Paul Barrere, Fred Tackett and others.
