Noah Kahan put the spotlight on his band before performing “Dial Drunk” on ACL. “These guys have been touring with me for a long time and I just love them and appreciate them so much,” Noah said. “I’m only saying this because it’s on-camera, backstage it’s all Ellen DeGeneres-type …,” Kahan quipped to laughs from the crowd.
Featured on Stick Season, “Dial Drunk” was written by Noah Kahan and Noah Levine with Post Malone appearing on the studio version. The platinum smash “changed by life,” Kahan told a crowd that enthusiastically sang along with each and every word. Kahan stepped back from the mic at one point to let the audience handle vocal duties. Other Stick Season cuts featured in Kahan’s ACL debut include the title track, “All My Love,” “Northern Attitude” and “Homesick.”
