Legendary country singer Tanya Tucker returns to the Austin City Limits stage for the first time in nearly four decades in an episode premiering on PBS tomorrow, Saturday, February 3 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT (check local listings). Tucker shares the episode with rising country singer-songwriter Brittney Spencer making her debut on the long-running series.

The Texas-born Tucker made her first appearance on ACL in 1986. Backed by a six-piece band, Tucker’s return performance began with two songs from her 2020 album, While I’m Livin’, which earned her the Grammy Award for Best Country Album. The set started with “Hard Luck,” followed by the Grammy Award for Best Country Song-winning, “Bring My Flowers Now.”

Tucker then turned to selections from her 2023 album, Sweet Western Sound, first delivering “Kindness.” Tucker’s boyfriend and fellow singer Craig Dillingham was brought out to help sing his composition, “When the Rodeo Is Over (Where Does the Cowboy Go?).”

Tucker completed her performance with the 1990s hit “It’s A Little Too Late” and a nod to her home state, “Texas (When I Die).” Watch an exclusive premiere of footage of “Kindness” performed by Tanya Tucker at Austin City Limits below:

Brittney Spencer’s first appearance on ACL showcased songs off her debut album, My Stupid Life, which arrived last month. Spencer performed the album tracks “Deeper,” “Bigger Than the Song,” “My First Rodeo” and “I Got Time.” She concluded her set with a cover of “On The Road Again” by Austin-area legend Willie Nelson.
