Newport Jazz Festival 70th Anniversary Lineup Features André 3000, Brittany Howard, Kamasi Washington & More

The Newport Jazz Festival will mark its 70th anniversary when the event returns to Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island on August 2 – 4. The 2024 Newport Jazz Festival lineup features André 3000, Brittany Howard, Kamasi Washington and dozens of others.

The Newport Festival Foundation produces the Newport Jazz Festival in collaboration with Newport Jazz artistic director Christian McBride, who will once again lead an all-star collective for his annual Jam Jawn.

Other artists confirmed for this year’s event include Sun Ra Arkestra, Elvis Costello, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Bill Frisell, Stanley Clarke, Cory Wong and Galactic with Irma Thomas. Individual sets will be performed by Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper and Kamasi Washington who will also appear together as Dinner Party.

The typically stacked Newport Jazz 2024 lineup also features Danilo Perez, John Patitucci, Terri Lyne Carrington and Ravi Coltrane honoring the legacy of the late Wayne Shorter, as well as appearances by Laufey, Aja Monet, Thievery Corporation, Samara Joy, Noname, PJ Morton, Cimafunk, Ghost-Note, Shabaka, Meshell Ndegeocello, Makaya McCraven & Jeff Parker, Lianne La Havas, Bill Frisell and many more.
