The recently reunited Nickel Creek, American folk duo Shovels & Rope and roots rockers Houndmouth will all play Newport Folk on Saturday, July 26. Singer-songwriter Jenny Lewis is aboard for Friday, July 25; while New Orleans folk outfit Hurray For The Riff Raff and the legendary Mavis Staples are set to play Newport on Sunday, July 27. Mavis’s set is billed as “Mavis Staples & Friends” and organizers have announced that with the help of special guests they will celebrate “75 Years Of Mavis” throughout the weekend.
More acts will be revealed in the coming days and weeks. Tickets are on sale now but going quickly.
