“Vacancy” is one of seven songs that have never been released by Young prior to their inclusion on Homegrown. That batch of songs also includes the album’s lead single, “Try” as well as “Separate Ways,” “Mexico,” “Kansas,” “We Don’t Smoke It Anymore” and “Florida.” The later is described as a “spoken word narration.” Neil Young has never performed “Vacancy” live as per Sugar Mountain.
