Yesterday Neil Young unexpectedly took to Facebook Live. The 71-year-old singer-songwriter used the social media platform to announce the release of a brand new single that he recorded with Promise Of The Real called “Children Of Destiny.”

The patriotic, politically-charged track was recently recorded with the help of a 56-piece orchestra at Capitol Studios in Hollywood. Lyrically, Young puts out the challenge to “Resist the powers that be / Preserve the ways of democracy so the children can be free,” while also imploring listeners to “Preserve the land and save the seas for the children of destiny / The children of you and me.”
