Neil Young Busts Out Song In Sweden After 13 Years On The Shelf

By Scott Bernstein Jul 6, 2016 1:00 pm PDT

The bust outs keep coming for Neil Young as he continues his European Tour with Promise Of The Real featuring Micah Nelson and Lukas Nelson. On Tuesday night Neil & POTR played Dalhalla in Rattvik, Sweden where Young busted out a long-lost classic as part of the solo acoustic portion of the evening.

As with all shows on the tour, the concert began with a series of solo acoustic performances before Promise Of The Real emerged for the rest of the main set and encore. Neil’s five-song solo acoustic segment in Rattvik featured the return of “Razor Love,” a tune he debuted in 1984 and finally recorded for 2000’s Silver & Gold. Young last played “Razor Love” way back on May 23, 2003. The fourth “Cortez The Killer” of the year served as the encore in Sweden. Other rarities performed in Rattvik included “Here We Are In The Years,” “Bad Fog Of Loneliness” and “Revolution Blues.”

On Sunday Neil & Promise Of The Real delivered a 20+ minute “Down By The River” in Finland. Watch fan-shot footage of the entire song captured by Matildada Mother:
