New Orleans-based funk/soul outfit Naughty Professor has confirmed the release of their new album entitled Identity on June 23. The group has announced a Summer Tour in support of the studio LP.

Foregoing the instrumental approach to their first three albums, Naughty Professor enlisted the help of a variety of vocalists and other collaborators to record Identity. Guests on the album include David Shaw, Eric “Benny” Bloom, Chali 2na, Ivan Neville, Mike Dillon and members of The Soul Rebels.

In addition to confirming a Summer Tour, Naughty Professor also added shows in their hometown during NOLA Jazz Fest. In May they’ll hold shows in Mississippi and Tennessee and in June they’ll be in Michigan and Illinois. In July Naughty Professor heads west for performances in Utah, Nevada, California, Arizona and Texas.
