The National To Play ‘Day Of The Dead’ Song For ‘Saturday Sessions’ On CBS

Hinted at in a GIF shared last week, The National will be guests on CBS This Morning this weekend as part of the program’s Saturday Sessions live performance series. The Saturday morning edition will feature the band playing a selection from the Grateful Dead tribute box set Day Of The Dead, which comes out one day prior to their appearance.

Curated by The National’s Aaron Dessner and Bryce Dessner, the 59-track Grateful Dead tribute box set featuring an all-star roster of artists performing songs made famous by the legendary rock band will be issued by 4AD this Friday. Proceeds from Day Of The Dead will go toward the Red Hot Organization’s fight against HIV/AIDS. A number of official listening parties will take place this week around the U.S.
