The second day of the 2016 Bridge School Benefit concerts was held Sunday at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. Host Neil Young once again performed with several of the acts on the lineup, including another sit-in with My Morning Jacket.
Just as they did Saturday, MMJ played an acoustic set and also served as backing band during Roger Waters’ set alongside G.E Smith and Jesse Wolfe and Holly Laessig of Lucius. My Morning Jacket’s main set featured a performance of “Wonderful (The Way I Feel)” with guests Wolfe and Laessig as well as Laura Veirs whose case/lang/veirs project had to pull out of this year’s Bridge School Benefits lineup. MMJ later brought out Young on guitar and harmonica as well as Nils Lofgren on accordion for a take on the Stephen Stills/Young song “Long May You Run.” Young had joined MMJ on Saturday on a rendition of his “Helpless” and both days saw Young emerge during Waters set to perform Bob Dylan’s “Forever Young.”
Below watch a couple of clips of Young and Lofgren sitting-in with My Morning Jacket at Shoreline on Sunday:
