Mumford & Sons Team With Krasno, Avetts, Morello & More For ‘House Of The Rising Sun’

The inaugural Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival concluded on Sunday with a performance by Mumford & Sons that included a SuperJammed encore. Mumford & Sons were joined by a bevy of musicians for four of the five songs they encored with such as Lettuce guitarist Eric Krasno, turntablist Chris Karns, Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello and members of both The Avett Brothers and Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
The British act’s encore began with a cover of “The House Of The Rising Son.” Scott Avett and Marcus Mumford shared vocals on “The House Of The Rising Sun” which featured a scorching solo from Morello. Watch fan-shot footage of the cover thanks to Andrea Arn:
Mumford & Sons’ encore then continued with covers of The Kinks’ “You Really Got Me,” AC/DC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long” and The Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody” before the guests left the stage to let the band end the night with “The Wolf.” Head here for L. Paul Mann’s photos and review from Sunday at Okeechobee.
