The Motet Launches ‘Conversations With The Motet’ Video Series

Colorado funk act The Motet will release Totem, a new studio album produced by Eric Krasno (Lettuce/Soulive) on July 8. Yesterday, the band launched a new video series dubbed Conversations With The Motet in which members of the band discuss their instruments, musical influences and the new LP.

The first installment of Conversations With The Motet finds drummer Dave Watts talking about what initially drew him to get behind the kit. He reveals, “I feel like drums chose me, I didn’t even think twice about it.” Watts also discusses his contributions to Totem track “The Truth,” watch:

A new installment will be posted each Tuesday through July 22 when The Motet headlines Red Rocks. A pre-order campaign for Totem is currently underway via the group’s Bandcamp page. A variety of packages are available including a CD signed by all members of The Motet.
