Colorado-based funk act The Motet will play two shows at the House Of Blues in New Orleans during Jazz Fest. The band recently revealed the guests that will join them late night on May 4 and then on May 5 in the Crescent City.

For the first show, late night on the 4th, The Motet will honor Sly & The Family Stone. Look for The Motet to mix fan favorites and deep cuts from Sly Stone’s extensive catalog. The band will be joined by special guests to make up the “Family Stone choir” including Nate Werth of Snarky Puppy and Ghost-Note on percussion and vocalist Moorea Masa. Then, on the 5th, The Motet will welcome percussionist Weedie Braimah for a night of original music featuring Butcher Brown as support.
