Two newly confirmed Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebrations featuring Warren Haynes have been revealed. Haynes – who will be playing Garcia’s famed custom Doug Irwin guitar the Wolf – will now also be partnering with local symphonies and other musicians to perform the music of the Grateful Dead and other Garcia-penned songs in Holmdel, New Jersey and in New York City. Holmdel’s PNC Bank Arts Center will host a Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebrations featuring Haynes and LaBranch as well as drummer Jeff Sipe, bassist Lincoln Schleifer and vocalist Jasmine Muhammad on August 7 while Central Park’s SummerStage will host a performance of the ensemble on August 8. Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebrations are also planned this year in several venues including stops in Nashville, Atlanta and at Red Rocks near Denver, among others.
