Moonalice Releases ‘Full Moonalice Vol. 1‘ EP & ‘Turn On Your Lovelight’ Video

Moonalice released a new EP, Full Moonalice Vol. 1, via Nettwerk in celebration of 4/20. The Bay Area band also shared a video for the opening track, a cover of the Bobby “Blue” Bland classic “Turn On Your Lovelight.”

Grammy Award-winning engineer Dave Way (Fiona Apple, Pink, Norah Jones) co-produced and mixed Full Moonalice Vol. 1. The six-song EP contains Moonalice’s previously released singles “Let’s Get Funky,” “People Get Ready,” and “Woo Woo.”

Lead/pedal steel guitarist Barry Sless, guitarist Roger McNamee and bassist Pete Sears founded Moonalice in 2007 and were later joined by drummer John Molo and keyboardist Jason Crosby. The band included The Chambers Brothers’ psychedelic soul classic “Time Has Come Today” on the new EP as Lester Chambers and his son Dylan Chambers are the newest members of the band along with the T Sisters: Erika, Rachel and Chloe Tietjen.

    Moonalice shared a cover of The Chambers Brothers’ classic “Time Has Come Today” featuring Lester Chambers.

Vocalists The T Sisters and Dylan Chambers feature on the EP’s opening track “Turn On Your Lovelight.” The cover boasts a gospel-inspired arrangement from Barry Sless.
