Warren Haynes, Reid Genauer and Aron Magner are among the guests for moe.‘s upcoming two-night run at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York this weekend. While moe. canceled most of their December shows due to guitarist Chuck Garvey suffering a stroke in November, the Buffalo-bred band decided to go ahead with The Cap shows on December 10 and 11 with a little help from their friends.
“After much thought and discussion, we’ve decided to cancel our December appearances while Chuck starts his road to recovery,” moe. said in a note to fans in November. “To that exception, we will still play the shows at The Capitol Theater on Dec. 10th and 11th. This venue means a lot to us all and feels like the right place for us to play at this time. We plan to have some special guests join us throughout the night and hope you can join us.”
moe. announced Gov’t Mule guitarist Warren Haynes, The Disco Biscuits keyboardist Aron Magner and Conehead Buddha saxophonist Shannon Lynch will join them on Friday, December 10. Saturday, December 11 will see guest spots from Assembly Of Dust members, guitarist Reid Genauer and keyboardist Nate Wilson, as well as Schleigho guitarist Suke Cerulo.
Tickets for moe.’s Capitol Theatre shows are on sale now via Ticketmaster (December 10, December 11).
