moe. Guitarist Chuck Garvey Suffers Stroke

The band recently completed a series of October dates with a Black Sabbath tribute.

moe. guitarist Chuck Garvey is currently in the hospital after suffering a stroke at his home on Saturday morning. The news was announced by the band in a statement that notes Garvey is in stable condition.

Garvey is a co-founding member of moe. The band was formed at the University of Buffalo in 1990. moe.’s next concerts are slated to take place at the Holidaze destination event in Mexico early next month. moe.’s statement did not include any details on the status of the group’s upcoming shows.

We are sad to share that on early Saturday morning Chuck suffered a stroke while at home. He is currently hospitalized and in stable condition. We remain hopeful for a full and speedy recovery. Please keep him in your hearts, thoughts and prayers. We appreciate everyone’s concern, but ask that you respect the privacy of his friends and family at this time. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
