By Scott Bernstein May 11, 2016 • 11:49 am PDT
Earlier today, moe. guitarist Al Schnier was the focus of a live interview held on Facebook conducted by Made In Utica’s Zee. Among the topics Schnier discussed was moe.’s plans for New Year’s Eve and according to the guitarist the band has something unusual planned this year.
Al wouldn’t share specifics, but said “we have something really out of the ordinary planned for New Year’s this year. We’ve been talking about doing something in a random location for a while.” Schnier went on to say “we’re going to play (somewhere) that’s random and out of the way. Just play in a remote location and if you want to come you can come and if not we’re going to be somewhere random and out of the way.” The guitarist mentioned the band talked about playing Alaska for New Year’s but clarified they will not be performing in Alaska on December 31.
moe. has rang in the New Year at Albany’s Palace Theatre the past three years. We look forward to an official announcement about what the band has in store. Watch the complete chat with the NYE discussion starting around the 30-minute mark:
