moe. recruited old pals Perpetual Groove to open for them on Saturday at Atlanta’s The Eastern. PGroove frontman Brock Butler came out during the Buffalo-birthed ensemble’s second set to play lap steel on a cover of the Pink Floyd classic “Fearless.”
The latest stop of moe.’s Born To Fly Tour 2026 began with a “Rebubula” that encompassed “Mar-Da-Ma” and “All Roads” over the first 27 minutes of the show. Percussionist Jim Loughlin's son Kirin Rogers then jumped in on sax for “Happy Hour Hero.”
The familial guest spot was followed by the sixth performance of the recently debuted Nate Wilson number “Old Things.” moe. wrapped the opening stanza by honoring Georgia’s own The Allman Brothers Band with just their second cover of “Jessica” since 2023.
moe. connected “New Hope” and “White Lightning” to get the second set underway. Brock Butler than continued a history of moe. collaborations that dates back well over a decade with the aforementioned “Fearless” guest appearance. moe. guitarist Al Schnier sang the song from Pink Floyd’s iconic 1971 album Meddle as he’s done regularly since the band debuted the cover in 2009. Butler added tasteful lap steel licks throughout.
The six-song second set moved forward with an improv-laden “Downward Facing Dog,” the longest tune of the night. moe. then served up “Giants” from their latest studio album, 2025’s Circle Of Giants, before punctuating the frame with fan-favorite “Plane Crash.” The sextet delivered their second-ever performance of Golden Earring’s “Twilight Zone” as their lone encore in Atlanta.
