Earlier this year, MJ Lenderman & The Wind added their version of “Dancing In The Club” from This Is Lorelei’s 2024 album Box For Buddy, Box For Star to their live repertoire. Lenderman and his bandmates brought out Nate Amos of This Is Lorelei to perform “Dancing In The Club” together last night at Brooklyn Steel in New York City.

Lenderman recorded his version of “Dancing In The Club” for the 2025 deluxe edition of Box For Buddy, Box For Star. This Is Lorelei played an opening set Tuesday, which was the middle concert of a three-nighter at Brooklyn Steel.

The Wind bassist Landon George showed off his new water bottle before the start of the encore, making sure to point out its straw.

“I heard some dumb crap on the internet saying that if you’re a man you shouldn’t be drinking a straw in public … someone has insecurity,” George said (seemingly referencing a Fox News segment) before using the water bottle’s straw. “Do whatever you want. And we appreciate coming here because you can do whatever you want, but you came here on like a Tuesday!

Lenderman then welcomed back to the stage Nate Amos to perform the Lenderman version of “Dancing In The Club.” An on-demand replay of last night’s Brooklyn Steel livestream is available to nugs.net subscribers.

MJ Lenderman & The Wind play the third show of their three-night run at Brooklyn Steel tonight. Scroll through the posts below for clips of Tuesday’s collaboration with This Is Lorelei.
