Mickey Hart & Bob Weir To Appear On Sammy Hagar TV Show

Early next year, AXS TV will premiere a new program featuring rocker Sammy Hagar. Rock & Roll Road Trip With Sammy Hagar will see the one-time Van Halen frontman travel the country to perform with music stars. One of the six episodes of the show’s first season will focus on the Grateful Dead.
The first episode of Rock & Roll Road Trip With Sammy Hagar will premiere on AXS TV Sunday, January 24 at 9 p.m. ET. As per ABC News, the second installment of the six-episode debut season of the show will focus on the Dead as Sammy travels to San Francisco to jam with Mickey Hart and Bob Weir. Expect to see Bobby team with the Red Rocker on “Loose Lucy” and a jam between Mickey and Sammy. The trio will also talk about their influences and coming of age in the tumultuous ’60s.
Sammy is Weir’s neighbor and has jammed with members of The Dead on many occasions, including one of the first “The Dead” shows on Valentine’s Day in 2003.
