Michael Kiwanuka Performs ‘Tiny Desk (Home) Concert’

British singer-songwriter Michael Kiwanuka recorded a session for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk (Home) Concert video series. Michael played solo renditions of songs from 2019’s Kiwanuka and 2016’s Love & Hate at his London flat for the five-song set.
Up first was “Light,” the closing track from Kiwanuka, which was followed by “Hard To Say Goodbye” from the same LP. Michael then swapped an acoustic guitar for electric as he performed Kiwanuka standout “Hero.”

The 33-year-old musician continued on with “Cold Little Heart,” the song that opens Love & Hate. Kiwanuka wished the audienece well before ending his performance with “Solid Ground” from his 2019 LP. Michael played the finale on electric piano.
