Metallica To Celebrate Launch Of SiriusXM Channel With Intimate Concert

Metallica will play a special club show on August 28 at Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, New York to celebrate the launch of the band’s new SiriusXM music channel. Maximum Metallica begins airing at 12 p.m. ET the next day, August 29, on Channel 42 and the SiriusXM app.

SiriusXM is giving away a trip for two to see one of Metallica’s most intimate performances in years. Enter here for a chance to win airfare, a car rental, accommodations and two tickets to the show. Tickets are also being distributed to Metallica Fifth Members via a contest on the band’s website.

An official recording of Metallica’s concert at Stephen Talkhouse will premiere on the new channel at 12 p.m. ET on Monday, September 1. The show will be rebroadcast throughout the week and airs on Howard Stern’s Howard 101 channel on Friday, September 5 at 7 p.m. ET. Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich announced the news with Howard Stern earlier today on a special broadcast of SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show.

Metallica will resume their M72 World Tour in Australia this November. After a series of dates down under and in the Middle East to end the year, the metal icons bring the trek to the United Kingdom and Europe in 2026.
