Brandon Flowers Envisions ‘An American Dream’ On ‘Fallon’

Brandon Flowers stopped by 30 Rock in New York City on Tuesday for a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The Killers frontman delivered “An American Dream” off his new solo album, Thrasher.

Cut at Nashville’s Historic RCA Studio A with a cadre of ace Music City players, Thrasher sees Flowers making a foray into country music.

“As I’ve gotten older, I’ve found my way back to my father’s music – ‘Country-Western,’ as he called it – and discovered that the stories I carry really feel most at home in the skin of this beautiful American tradition,” Flowers said during the record rollout.

While not released as a single ahead of Thrasher‘s release on August 21, “An American Dream” is the album’s gospel-tinged, slow-burning swan song. Watch Brandon Flowers perform “An American Dream” on “Fallon” below:
