Co-founding Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club member Chris Frantz is currently writing a memoir. Remain In Love is due in the spring of 2020 through British publisher Faber Social.

Frantz’s book is expected near the time of the 40th anniversary of the release of iconic Talking Heads album Remain In Light. “Talking Heads started in the spring of ’73 with a line of cocaine and a long walk around the Rhode Island School of Design campus. Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth and David Byrne wanted to play a different kind of music – dance music for smart kids. From a rough loft on Chrystie Street to legendary CBGB, to touring with the Ramones, The Pretenders, B-52’s, The Police, Dire Straits and many others, Talking Heads wrote the soundtrack for the punk and new wave movement. Chris Frantz remembers it all in thrilling detail and proposes a memoir as eclectic – and electrifying – as Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club,” reads a description of the book from its publisher.

Talking Heads broke up in 1991 after the release of eight albums. Chris Frantz formed Tom Tom Club with wife Tina Weymouth in 1981. Chris & Tina have put out a handful of LPs under the Tom Tom Club moniker, the most recent of which was Downtown Rockers in 2012. Frantz, along with the rest of the Talking Heads, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 2002.
