Dave Matthews Band performed Tuesday night at Lakeview Amphitheatre in Syracuse, New York. The group’s horn section temporarily expanded to a trio as trombonist Melissa Gardiner sat-in for a song.

Dave Matthews initiated Tuesday’s main set with “That Girl Is You,” which was recorded for the upcoming DMB studio album Come Tomorrow. The tour’s first “So Right” came next, marking the song’s first performance since August 26, 2016 (a 113 show gap). A couple of songs later came the tour’s first “You Might Die Trying.”

The concert also featured additional Come Tomorrow tracks including the single “Samurai Cop (Oh Joy Begin),” “Idea Of You” and “Can’t Stop.” DMB trumpeter Rashawn Ross then welcomed his “good friend” Gardiner to join Ross and the group’s saxophonist Jeff Coffin for a collaborative “Jimi Thing.”

Favorites such as “Satellite,” “Ants Marching,” and “Crash into Me” helped fill out the set that closed with “Pantala Naga Pampa” > “Rapunzel.” The two-song encore was made up of “You & Me” and “Louisiana Bayou.”
