Ziggy Marley, Lukas Nelson, Stewart Copeland & More To Team For Maui Strong Benefit Livestream Event

The online event is set for Friday, September 8.

Ziggy Marley, Lukas Nelson and Stewart Copeland are among the performers for an upcoming livestream benefit concert to aid the Hawaiian Community Foundation Maui Strong and MusiCares. The 120-minute online event will stream from Maui and Los Angeles’ Rolling Live Studios via Ziggy Marley’s YouTube channel on September 8 at 2 p.m. HT / 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET.

Also set to perform are LL Cool J, Gretchen Rhodes Ft. Mick Fleetwood and Friends, Nathaniel Rateliff, Fred Armisen, Sarah McLachlan, Ryan Bingham, Kai Lenny and more. The aforementioned Stewart Copeland will lead a “Drums for Maui” segment backed by local musicians from the island.

Additionally, the livestream “will feature eight unique segments blending art, music, and storytelling, including a Hawaiian Blessing with Lei‘Ohu Ryder, cultural presentations involving hula and mele” and more. KCRW’s Elvis Mitchell and renowned songwriter Jimmy Jam will host the livestream event. The Maui Strong benefit is produced by Rolling Live Studios and Licorice Pizza Records, in collaboration with Shiny Penny Productions, Riverstreet Productions and YouTube Music
