Jack Johnson announced a pair of benefit efforts for fire relief in the wake of devastating wildfires on the Hawaiian island of Maui. A live benefit album, Songs For Maui, arrives September 15 via Brushfire and Republic Records followed by a benefit concert at The Republik in Honolulu on September 18.
Hailing from Hawaii, Johnson captured the live album Songs for Maui at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center’s Castle Theater while on a Hawaiian Islands Tour in 2012. The 10-track record features Hawaii’s own Paula Fuga and John Cruz.
Fuga and Cruz will also join Johnson and his band for the intimate benefit concert on September 18 at The Republik in Honolulu. 100 percent of the proceeds from the Songs For Maui LP and The Republik concert will benefit fire relief efforts and ongoing aid for Maui.
Tickets for the benefit concert go on sale Friday, September 8 at 10 a.m. HT. Purchase Songs For Maui benefit concert tickets. Click below for more show info.
