Margo Price recently teamed with Preservation Hall Jazz Band for the latter’s Midnight Preserves sessions. The collaboration coincided with the 2025 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and included a fitting cover of Hank Williams’ “Jambalaya (On the Bayou).”
Night seven of the historic Preservation Hall’s Midnight Preserves late night sessions also saw the Preservation Hall Jazz Band teaming with New Orleans legend Irma Thomas, Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, singer-songwriter Amos Lee, NOLA soul singer Erica Falls and Margo Price. Check out photos below:

The Midnight Preserves sessions helps to fund the work of the Preservation Hall Foundation, which includes “offering free music education in New Orleans schools to providing global access to New Orleans music history and supporting elder musicians in the community.”
For her Midnight Preserves session, Margo Price linked up with the Pres Hall Jazz Band for three covers including Hank Williams’ “Jambalaya (On the Bayou).” Watch that performance below:
Price and Pres Hall also covered The Kinks’ “Alcohol” and The Coasters-recorded “Let’s Go Get Stoned.” Check out the full set:
