Chuck Morris’ Daughter Amelia Morris Makes Emotional Appearance With Lotus In Denver

A special moment occurred during Lotus’ recent show at Summit in Denver when Amelia Morris, the daughter of late Lotus member Chuck Morris, joined the band for “an emotional roller coaster” collaboration. Amelia Morris joined her father’s former bandmates for an inspiring cover of New Order’s “Temptation.”

Chuck Morris and his son, Amelia’s brother Charley Morris, died in tragic accident in April 2023 after embarking on a kayaking trip while vacationing on Beaver Lake near Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Introduced as Lotus’ youngest guest to date, Amelia Morris was brought out at the end of the first set of last Friday’s concert in Denver. The band and their especially special guest then premiered a cover of “Temptation” by New Order with Amelia delivering impassioned lead vocals.

A message from Lotus reflecting on the special collaboration stated:

“It was an honor (and an emotional roller coaster) to be joined on stage by Chuck’s daughter Amelia Morris for a cover of New Order’s ‘Temptation’ last Friday in Denver. Chuck would have been so proud of how she owned the performance.”

Lotus also incorporated elements of the Grateful Dead’s “Fire On The Mountain” within “Moss Shoes” in recognition of the passing earlier that day of Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh.
