Bob Weir and Phil Lesh will take Furthur off of hiatus for one night only at September’s Lockn’ Festival, which takes place at Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, VA between September 4 and 7. Weir and Lesh will reunite the original version of the band for the group’s lone remaining performance of 2014, which features both Joe Russo and Jay Lane in addition to guitarist John Kadlecik and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti.

A report surfaced this morning that Phil & Bobby would perform together at Lockn’ and this official announcement seals the deal. The Furthur set comes in addition to previously announced performances from Phil Lesh & Friends and Bob Weir & RatDog and is the only collaboration from Weir and Lesh expected throughout the remainder of 2014.

Earlier today Lockn’ organizers revealed the day-by-day scheduled, which can be viewed above (the Furthur set isn’t listed, but is scheduled for Friday night), and the additions of The Revivalists, No BS Brass Band and Aaron Freeman’s Freeman. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Widespread Panic and The Allman Brothers Band are among the headliners of Lockn’ 2014. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
