Primus front man Les Claypool has played a number of shows this year as part of acoustic duo Les Claypool’s Duo de Twang with Marc “MIRV” Haggard. Claypool originally put together the duo as a one-time thing to play Hardly Strictly Bluegrass and since the project has taken on a life of its own. Duo de Twang will release their first studio album, Four Foot Shack, on February 4.

According to Rolling Stone, the album contains 15 songs that mix originals from Claypool’s many projects with covers such as “Man In The Box” by Alice In Chains and “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees. The LP features just Les and MIRV outside of a cameo from Claypool’s son on banjo.
