LCD Soundsystem Announces New Album & 2017 World Tour

Ever since LCD Soundsystem announced their reunion last year, the group has been promising a new album. Today, James Murphy & Co. finally have a release date on the books. American Dream will be issued via Coumbia Records/DFA on September 1 and will be accompanied by a world tour.

LCD Soundsystem is currently in the middle of a seven-show run at Brooklyn Steel in New York City, where they will also end their world tour with 10 shows in December. Today, the group has detailed a European leg of touring that is expected to run from September 8 until September 22 with gigs in Denmark, The Netherlands, France and the U.K. LCD returns to North America to begin a fall leg of the jaunt in October.

The Brooklyn-based outfit kicks off the North American leg at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. on October 17. From there, LCD Soundsystem will play two nights in Atlanta followed by visits to Miami, New Orleans, Dallas, Austin, Detroit, St. Paul, Broomfield, San Francisco and a five-night stand at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. The run continues at Montreal’s Place Bell Arena on December 2 and Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on December 3. Next up are two nights at The Fillmore Philadelphia on December 5 and 6 along with a stop at Boston’s Agganis Arena on December 8 and 10 shows at Brooklyn Steel in New York City between December 11 and 23.
