Larry Campbell finally reunited with his wife and musical partner, Teresa Williams 28 days after his COVID-19 fever broke. The pair announced the good news via a video on their Facebook page.
Campbell tested positive for the coronavirus COVID-19 on March 23 after dealing with flu-like symptoms and a high fever. Larry recuperated by himself at the duo’s home in Woodstock while Teresa self-isolated in New York City.

“I’ve had the flu plenty of times but it’s never gotten this debilitating. My temperature fluctuated between 100 and just over 101. It went to 102 at one point,” Campbell told Rolling Stone. “There were days when the effort just to get up and walk to the couch I’d been laying on all day – just to get into the kitchen to force myself to eat something — was monumental.”
Teresa Williams has been updating fans on Larry’s conditions over the past five weeks through video messages on Facebook. On April 17, Williams revealed that while Campbell was feeling great a second test showed he was still testing positive for COVID-19. He was recently cleared and was able to pick up Williams from the pair’s New York City apartment and brought her to their Woodstock home. It took 43 days until the negative test results were received from his first positive test. “This thing is vicious, it doesn’t follow any rules,” Larry said. He went on to thank fans and friends for “all the emails, texts, Facebook notices, phone calls and good wishes that came my way.”
