The Harvest Moon benefit concert was held at The Painted Turtle Camp in Lake Hughes, California on Saturday. Performers included Neil Young, Beck and Lana Del Rey, with the latter covering Young’s “The Needle and the Damage Done.”
Lana Del Rey kicked off her set at the event benefitting The Painted Turtle and Bridge School with her debut of the Neil Young classic. “The Needle and the Damage Done” originally appears on Young’s landmark 1972 album Harvest.
Lana delivered the song accompanied by acoustic guitar and a string ensemble. “Thought we’d start off with just a little bit of Neil,” Del Rey said ahead of the performance. Check out Lana Del Rey on “Needle And The Damage Done” below:
Del Rey also offered older favorites such as “Summertime Sadness” and “Video Games.” Additionally, Lana sang The Sound of Music’s “Do-Re-Mi” with her niece Phoenix before closing her performance with “Young and Beautiful.”
