Chris Isaak & Sean Lennon Among Lana Del Rey Guests At Hollywood Bowl

Lana Del Rey turned her Thursday night concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles into a guest-filled affair with Chris Isaak and Sean Ono Lennon among the musicians who sat-in. Zella Day, Weyes Blood, Adam Cohen, Jack Antonoff and Jesse® (fka Jesse Rutherford) also made guest appearances with Lana last night.

The New York City native and current L.A. resident started her show with the title track from her 2019 album, Norman Fucking Rockwell and “Bartender” from the LP. Zella Day and Natalie Laura Mering (aka Weyes Blood) then joined Lana for a cover of Joni Mitchell’s “For Free.” Isaak emerged a few songs later to team with Del Rey and her band for his 1990 hit, “Wicked Game.”

Lana Del Rey welcomed Sean Lennon during the middle of her 21-song performance for “Tomorrow Never Came.” Sean contributed vocals and co-wrote the song from Lana’s Lust For Life album. Del Rey went on to bring out Adam Cohen for a duet on his father, Leonard Cohen’s “Chelsea Hotel #2.” Two songs later, Norman Fucking Rockwell producer Jack Antonoff played piano as Lana Del Rey sang the album’s “Hope Is A Dangerous Thing For A Woman Like Me To Have – But I Have It” live in concert for the first time. Next, Jesse Rutherford of The Neighbourhood joined Del Rey for “Daddy Issues” from his band’s 2015 album, Wiped Out!. Lana closed out the concert with three originals and a cover of Sublime’s “Doin’ Time” each of which didn’t include any guests.
