Theo Katzman of Vulfpeck joined Lake Street Dive for a song in Grand Rapids on Friday night. Lake Street Dive brought out Katzman for the finale of their concert at Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park.
Michigan native Theo Katzman emerged to duet with Lake Street Dive frontwoman Rachael Price on “Good Kisser” on Friday. Price had previously made a guest appearance with Vulfpeck at Brooklyn Steel in New York City on September 10, 2017 for a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Say You Love Me.” Price also sang “Something” by The Beatles and Aretha Franklin’s “Rock Steady” with Vulf at Brooklyn Bowl the previous September.
“We’re gonna do one more song for y’all, we have a really good friend, I’d say an important Michigan-based musician here tonight,” Price informed the crowd before the conclusion of the evening. “He has his own solo music, he also plays and sings in an incredible band called Vulfpeck — one of our favorite groups of all-time. We’re gonna welcome Theo Katzman to sing this last song with us.”
Rachael Price handled lead vocals on the song from LSD’s 2018 studio album, Free Yourself Up. Katzman added spot-on falsetto harmonies to “Good Kisser.”
