Lake Street Dive rolled out the second installment of their Live From The Road video series. The band performed a stripped-down version of oldie “Better Than” in the new visual.
Live From The Road features full performances of classic songs and tunes from the quintet’s Grammy-nominated 2024 LP, Good Together. The series started earlier this month with a version of Good Together cut “Party On The Roof” captured at The Salt Shed in Chicago.

“Better Than” was originally released by the group on their 2014 album, Bad Self Portraits. The members of Lake Street Dive — vocalist Rachael Price, bassist Bridget Kearney, keyboardist Akie Bermiss, guitarist James Cornelison and drummer Mike Calabrese — gathered around a lunch table backstage at The Momentary in Bentonville, Arkansas this past July to film the “Better Than” performance featured in the video.
Mike Calabrese used the table to add percussion to the “Better Than” performance while Akie Bermiss played a tiny synthesizer. Rachael Price belted out the ballad with her bandmates providing harmonies.
