Watch Mumford & Sons Perform Hits & ‘Prizefighter’ Cuts On ‘Today’

Mumford & Sons swung by 30 Rock this morning to appear on Today. The trio spoke with the hosts after performing a four-song outdoor set for the NBC talk show’s Citi Concert Series.

The British band visited Today to promote their latest studio album, Prizefighter. Co-produced by Aaron Dessner, the 14-song collection arrived in February, less than a year after the release of Rushmere.

Frontman Marcus Mumford called Prizefighter his favorite of the group’s six albums during the interview. “It just feels natural to us, these songs and this moment,” Mumford said of the record.

“I think we’re having the most fun as a band that we’ve ever had,” Marcus added of the band’s biggest tour yet. Mumford & Sons’ Prizefighter Tour resumes after a two-month break this Friday, July 31 in Shakopee, Minnesota. The summer leg includes a three-night stand at New York City’s Madison Square Garden August 11 – 13.

Mumford & Sons took the stage in Rockefeller Center just outside the Today studios. Mumford and his fellow co-founders Ben Lovett and Ted Dwane, along with the touring members of the band, including The Slip/Barr Brothers drummer Andrew Barr, played Prizefighter standouts “Here” and “Rubber Band Man” during a set that also included early hits “The Cave” and “I Will Wait.”
