Twin sisters – Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield and Allison Crutchfield of Swearin’ – formed a new band called Snocaps. The siblings introduced the new project by surprise releasing a self-titled debut album.
Snocaps marks the first collaborative music made by the Crutchfield twins since their time together as members of the defunct band P.S. Eliot. Earlier this month, Allison performed alongside Katie at multiple Waxahatchee shows in California.
Released through ANTI-Records, Snocaps was produced and engineered by Brad Cook, who also played on the record. Another of Katie Crutchfield’s recent collaborators, MJ Lenderman, also appears on the 13-track album. The four participants each played multiple instruments during the recording sessions.
