Saxophonist Karl Denson has led his Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe project through tributes to a variety of artists over the years. The latest act to get the KDTU tribute treatment is the Allman Brothers Band as Denson & Co. announced a series of Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe Presents Eat A Bunch Of Peaches performances. The first of the guest-filled shows honoring the Allmans took place on Friday night in Chicago.

For Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe Presents Eat A Bunch Of Peaches, the core band is joined by a handful of guests: Jay Lane (Primus, Ratdog) as the second drummer, Kenneth Crouth (Lenny Kravitz, Eric Clapton) on second keys and Mark “Speedy” Gonzales (Brownout) on trombone. A handful of videos from Friday’s Eat A Bunch Of Peaches show have surfaced and can be viewed below.

In this first clip, Seth Freeman channels Gregg Allman on vocals and Duane Allman on guitar as he leads “Whipping Post.” The video, which shows Freeman going toe-to-toe with DJ Williams, was shot by Nunu Zomot:
