Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe Announces 8 New Shows Including Allmans Tributes With Stanton Moore

The schedule for Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe‘s upcoming spring tour has been expanded with the addition of eight shows. KDTU’s tour date announcement includes word of four more “Eat A Bunch Of Peaches” performances in celebration of The Allman Brothers Band.

Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe will be joined by Galactic drummer Stanton Moore, who will team with KDTU drummer Zak Najor on double drums, for their upcoming run of “Eat A Bunch Of Peaches” tributes in April and May. The Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe “Eat A Bunch Of Peaches” dates confirmed today start with a show at Atlanta’s Buckhead Theatre on April 11 and continue with performances in Memphis on April 12, Asheville on April 13 and Charlotte on April 14.

In addition to the four shows confirmed today, Stanton Moore will reprise his role on double drums with Najor at previously announced “Eat A Bunch Of Peaches” tributes that will be held at 420 On The Block in Denver on April 20, at the Wanee Festival on April 21 and at The Joy Theater in New Orleans on May 5. Stanton has a long history with members of KDTU as Moore and Galactic’s first California show was opening for Denson and Najor’s Greyboy Allstars at The Green Circle in San Diego circa 1996. All of the group’s upcoming “Eat A Bunch Of Peaches” tributes will also feature acclaimed keyboardist Kenneth Crouch.

Denson & Co. also added three Texas shows (Houston on April 26, Austin on April 27 and Dallas on April 29) as well as an additional evening performance during the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival at the House Of Blues on April 28. KDTU kicks off the tour with an appearance at Hogs For The Cause in NOLA on March 23 followed by a pair of shows in Colorado.
