Kacey Musgraves & Nickel Creek Cover SZA’s ‘Kill Bill’ In Boston

Kacey Musgraves recently commenced the North American leg of her Deeper Well World Tour, bringing the singer-songwriter to Boston’s TD Garden for a pair of concerts. Saturday’s second show the two-night affair featured the members of opening act Nickel Creek joining Musgraves on a cover of SZA’s “Kill Bill.”
Nickel Creek mandolin player Chris Thile, fiddler Sara Watkins and guitarist Sean Watkins accompanied Musgraves and members of her band for the acoustic collaboration. Sitting in the round facing each other on a secondary stage, the musicians backed Musgraves on her first known public performance of “Kill Bill” from SZA’s 2022 album, SOS.

Saturday’s setlist featured eight songs from Musgraves’ 2024 album, Deeper Well. The show also included several selections from her other records, as well as her recently premiered arrangement of Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club.”
The Deeper Well World Tour continues tonight with Musgraves, Nickel Creek and fellow opener Father John Mistyheading to the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
