John Prine Shares Video For Cover Of ‘Just Waitin’ By Hank Williams

“I cut my teeth on Hank Williams songs,” acclaimed singer-songwriter John Prine said last year while promoting his latest album For Better, Or Worse. He added, “When I sing these songs there is a small pipeline straight from my heart to my lips.”
The all covers LP featured Prine accompanied by a female guest musician on 14 of the record’s 15 tracks including Susan Tedeschi, Alison Krauss, Iris DeMent and Amanda Shires. The lone album track to feature Prine solo closed out For Better, Or Worse via a cover of Williams’ “Just Waitin.’”
