John Popper Appears In Skit With Tim Kaine On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

Soon after being tapped to join Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s ticket, Vice Presidential candidate Tim Kaine – a noted harmonica player – was invited to “duel” with acclaimed harmonica master and Blues Traveler frontman John Popper. While the harp players didn’t exactly duel last night, they did perform together in a skit for Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The taped sketch featured host Jimmy Kimmel and the musical Senator from Virginia discussing issues at a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant. One topic the pair discussed is concert etiquette as Kimmel offers some well-received suggestions for how shows should be regulated.
The skit ended with a harmonica battle during which Kaine showed off his real skills while Kimmel used the help of a hiding Popper to take on the candidate. In the end Kaine and Popper team up for a few shared notes, watch the clip below:
