Watch Dizgo & Natalie Brooke’s Collaborative Disco Set At The Ramble Festival

The bands also included a trio of songs from the Phish catalog.

Rising acts Dizgo and Natalie Brooke teamed for a collaborative “Noodles at the Dizgo” late night set at The Ramble Festival in Darlington, Maryland earlier this month. Ramble Fest shared pro-shot video of the performance which includes disco, funk and Phish classics.

Bloomington, Indiana born jam quartet Dizgo is Andrew Pickel, Kevin Hinnefeld, Jake Evatt and Justin Clark. The band is currently on their Outer Space Tour and have a pair of releases out: the studio album, Melt, and Live In Atlanta.

Out of Baltimore, keyboardist Natalie Brooke fronts her band of Nathan Shulkin, Jacob “Nester” Nadeau and Luke Walker. Brooke released her album Measured in Moments on October 10, the same day The Ramble Fest collaboration took place.

Natalie Brooke and Dizgo’s late night collaborative set on Friday, October 10 saw the bands and friends teaming in various formats beginning with Ramble Fest artist at large Abby Bryant leading the collab through The Commodores’ “Brick House.”

The ensemble then expanded upon a rendition of Jamiroquai “Little L” ahead of Rick James’ “Bustin’ Out” and Lipps Inc.’s “Funkytown,” both of which featured Brooke and Evatt on vocals.

Next, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong guitarist Jeremy Schon joined the fun for the Donna Summer disco classic “I Feel Love” followed by more disco gold in the Bee Gees “Stayin’ Alive.” The latter saw the addition of guitarist Joe Marcinek.

The collab then dipped into the Phish catalog with a trio of songs to close the set. The band touched on two songs Phish covers, “2001” and “Frankenstein,” along with original “Carini.” Set closer “Frankenstein” saw Brooke busting out the keytar.
