Dawes will host A Concert For Altadena on January 7 at Pasadena Civic Center in Pasadena, California, with proceeds going toward wildfire recovery efforts through the Altadena Builds Back Foundation. The all-star concert will feature performances by Stephen Stills, Jackson Browne, Jenny Lewis and others.
The benefit show coincides with the one year anniversary of the Eaton Fire that devastated the town of Altadena, California. Dawes co-founders – brothers Taylor Goldsmith and Griffin Goldsmith – were among the thousands impacted by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
The Eaton fire destroyed Taylor’s home studio and damaged the home he shares with his wife Mandy Moore. Griffin lost his entire home and recording studio storing an array of instruments.
“A Concert For Altadena – January 7th marks a year to the day that our sweet town got ravaged by the Eaton Fire,” Dawes shared. “We’re organizing a night of music to support the Altadena Builds Back Foundation (part of the Pasadena Community Foundation) — helping rally and rebuild the community that’s given us so much. It’s gonna be a heavy night but it’s going to be a beautiful one too.”
A Concert For Altadena will also include performances by Brandon Flowers of The Killers, Brad Paisley, Aloe Blacc, Eric Krasno, Judith Hill, Everclear, Ozomatli and Mandy Moore. Additional artists are expected to be announced.
A Concert For Altadena tickets go on sale on Friday, November 7.
