John Kadlecik Guests With Bob Weir And RatDog In D.C.
By Scott Bernstein Feb 19, 2014 • 6:30 am PST

Bobby and his ensemble kicked off the show with “Jack Straw” before seguing into the RatDog original “Ashes and Glass.” The opening stanza also included takes on “Youngblood” by The Coasters, Bob Dylan’s “All Along The Watchtower” and Little Feat’s “Easy To Slip.” When the band returned for the second set, they took the stage with Kadlecik, who added extra vocals and guitar work to a batch of songs from the Grateful Dead’s live repertoire. The well-jammed second set saw the group tackle improv-heavy pieces such as “Dark Star” and “The Other One.” Kadlecik even stuck around for the “Bertha” encore.
